DESCRIPTION OF THE PLACE:

The mixed Playa Blanca tour offers a unique opportunity to get to know the Barú peninsula, where the beautiful Playa Blanca is located, and which is separated from the mainland by the Dique canal, a waterway built by the Spaniards in the 16th century to connect the Magdalena river with the city of Cartagena de Indias.

The tour begins in the historic center of Cartagena aboard an air-conditioned bus that will take you to the Dique Canal, and then connect it with the famous Playa Blanca.

Once in Playa Blanca, you will go to one of the boats to start your sightseeing tour of some of the islands and islets that are part of the Rosario Islands archipelago: Isla Grande, Rosario Island, Cagua Island, San Martin Island, Majayura Island, and many others will be part of your journey.

As you approach San Martín de Pajarales Island, you can discover the Rosario Islands Oceanarium, which houses a sample of the marine fauna and flora of the area, and offers its visitors a wonderful experience of interaction with dolphins. If you do not want to go to the Oceanarium, you can spend your time exploring the seabed by snorkeling. Please note that the entrance to the Oceanarium and the snorkeling experience ARE NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR PACKAGE.

After the visit to San Martin de Pajarales Island, the boat will go again to Playa Blanca, where you can enjoy your lunch and then discover the beautiful beach and the Caribbean Sea that bathes it.

Around 3:20 pm, the return to Cartagena by land will begin.

Maybe later you could consider the Hop On Hop Off bus, and make the most of your stay in Cartagena de Indias to the fullest. If you are interested, click here to get a combination of HoHo + Playa Blanca Mixed.
